CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Frankie White, the owner of BW Sweets Bakery, likes to think about how to make a dessert that could make someone’s day. 

“Out of all the places in Charlotte, out of all the places in the world, they chose to come here,” White said. “And that’s a great feeling.”

BW Sweets bakery is named after Frankie's son, Bradley White, who died of cancer in 2011. 

Frankie looked to baking as therapy. 

“I feel like Bradley's here with me everyday. So when I see another family and they want to pick up a cake... You know there’s nothing bitter about it, it’s all sweet,” White said. 

Making memories for families to honor the memory of his son.
