Ray Pickett represents North Carolina's 93rd District. Before joining the North Carolina House, Pickett was a local elected official who often worked with state representatives to create legislation. Those experiences ultimately inspired him to pursue state office so he could not only help his district, but all of North Carolina.
Pickett enjoys the process of passing legislation and watching it take shape as it evolves from an idea into actual law.
If Pickett had to choose one historical figure to have lunch with, it would be past President Thomas Jefferson. His first job, outside working on the family farm, was bussing ables.
