RALEIGH — Carl Tanner’s road to stardom was unconventional to say the least.

Although trained in the arts and a college graduate, Tenner took the roads as a truck driver, and was shot at while working as a bail bondsman. But it was soon after, that his talent was discovered, and he’s been wowing audiences ever since.

The tenor is in Raleigh performing a production of Samson and Delilah with the North Carolina Opera, and sat down with Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair for an In Depth look at his career, and what’s next for this talented artist.

Tanner will stand center stage in Samson and Delilah on Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m. at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh.

The show will last 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission.
