Two people have been hospitalized after being burnt in a tent fire on Monday, officials say.
The Maine Fire Marshal's Office came to 61 Russell Road in Skowhegan in response to the fire, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
The injured people were still being treated at Reddington Fairview Hospital as of Tuesday afternoon, Moss stated.
“Fire Investigators found that a leaking propane tank inside the tent ignited, resulting in a flash fire, destroying the tent and its contents,” Moss said.
The fire is considered accidental, according to Moss.
