A woman has been charged with murder in connection to a killing in Etna, an official says.
Police received a 911 call at about 6:40 a.m. Friday from a residence at 372 Old County Road, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Penobscot County Sheriff’s deputies responded and found the body of Luke Norris, 41, inside the home, Moss said.
An autopsy on Saturday found the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries, Moss stated, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Norris’ live-in girlfriend Heidi Tasker, 36, has been charged with murder, according to Moss. Tasker was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation but is now held without bail at Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
