One man has been charged in connection with a Nov. 30 killing on Marshall Street in Portland, according to police.

Police said they responded to 24 Marshall St. at 5:35 p.m. for a report of a deceased person in an apartment. Officers arrived to find the body of Matthew Merrick, 43, of Portland.

Merrick’s death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy, police said.

On Tuesday, Domingus Nobrega, 48, of Portland was arrested at the Scarborough Walmart and charged with murder, according to police. He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail where he is being held without bail.

Police said they are not releasing other details.
