HONOLULU — One of the Hawaii softball team’s outgoing seniors helped ensure the Rainbow Wahine will have something to show for their final series of the 2023 season.

Cira Bartolotti crossed home standing up on a UC Davis throwing error in the bottom of the seventh inning as UH rallied for a 3-2 walk-off win over the Aggies at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium on Thursday night.

Haley Johnson came up clutch with a two-run double in the sixth to tie the game. Ka‘ena Keliinoi was 3-for-3 and ace Brianna Lopez went the distance on a six-hitter to pick up her 16th win of the season.

UH (30-21) moved into a fifth-place tie with UCD (27-20) in Big West play at 13-12. The best either team can finish is fourth.

It was the first time since 2019 that UH hit the 30-win mark.

Moved up a day because of UH graduation on Saturday, the series will conclude with a Friday doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. at RWSS.

Seniors Bartolotti, Amanda Ajari, Princess Matavao and Bueller Sabourin will be traditionally honored afterward.
