The University of Hawaii at Manoa warns there will be traffic around campus on Saturday when the UH football team hosts UNLV at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, according to a news release. The seating capacity for the complex is over 15,000.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. It could be UH's third sellout of the season after UCLA on Aug. 31 and Boise State on Oct. 12.

Traffic is expected to start to increase in the early afternoon in both directions along the H-1 Freeway, especially near the University Avenue off-ramps, and in the surrounding neighborhood streets, including University Avenue, Dole Street, and Waialae Avenue.

UH staff along with special duty Honolulu Police Department officers will be on surrounding roads to direct traffic. The University is also using parking technology to expedite entry into and exit from the event and will coordinate with the city to adjust traffic lights to help with traffic flow, according to the news release.

For parking, a pre-purchased parking pass (mobile or printed) is required for Lower Campus lots. Prices for these tickets start at $25. Parking gates open at 12 p.m.

On game day, parking passes may be purchased for Upper Campus lots for $15 (credit card or mobile wallet payment; no cash payment). Enter via East-West Road off of Dole Street or Maile Way off of University Avenue.

Fans are invited to enjoy music, entertainment, vendors, food and drinks, and a keiki zone. Admission is free (entrance to the beer garden requires a valid football game ticket).
