HONOLULU — The state Department of Health invited the public to a Red Hill open house on Tuesday and a Fuel Tank Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday that will include updates on the Red Hill Bulk Storage Facility. 

At both events, the public can learn more about public health monitoring, groundwater monitoring and analysis, drinking water and plans for remediation. The DOH is working to increase public engagement related to Red Hill, according to a news release.  

The Red Hill Open House

This event will include information booths and attendees can speak to representatives from the DOH, Environmental Protection Agency, Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill, University of Hawaii and Red Hill Community Representation Initiative.  

Where: Āliamanu Middle School Cafeteria, at 3271 Salt Lake Blvd.

When: Tuesday from 5  to 7 p.m. 

The Fuel Tank Advisory Committee Meeting

The Fuel Tank Advisory Committee Meeting is part of the DOH and other agencies’ efforts to increase public engagement related to Red Hill. Details about the agenda and presentations can be found here

Where: Neal S. Blaisdell Center Pikake Room, at 777 Ward Ave. The event will also be viewable on Zoom
