The Navy Closure Task Force is rebranding the Joint Task Force-Red Hill’s free phone app, which helps people to stay up to date on the closure process for the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility, according to a news release.

The NCTF took over from the JTF-RH last month, after they drained 104 millions of gallons of fuel from the tanks.

The Navy Closure Task Force will complete the closure process. This includes four phases: removing 28,000 gallons of sludge from the tanks, cleaning 16 storage tanks and four surge tanks, removing more than 10 miles of pipeline that runs between the Red Hill facility and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and completing environmental remediation around the facility.

The app provides updates on tank cleaning, environmental remediation, regulatory approvals, operating plans and more.

The app is available to download on the iOS app store and the Google Play store by searching for “NCTF-Red Hill.” For anyone who already has the app, their phone will update automatically to the rebranded app. NCTF-RF encourages people to enable push notifications for regular updates.
