TEXAS — Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Amarillo, said in a Fox News interview Saturday night that his nephew’s neck was grazed by a bullet during a shooting at a campaign event for former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.

According to Jackson, his nephew was sitting in a section for “friends and family” behind Trump when the shots were fired.

“He was grazed in the neck. A bullet crossed his neck, cut his neck, and he was bleeding,” Jackson told Sean Hannity on Fox News.

After the incident, Jackson said his nephew was taken to a triage tent for treatment. Jackson’s sister-in-law was also at the rally.

The shooting left one attendee dead and two others critically injured. It is unclear whether Jackson’s nephew was one of those who was critically injured.

The suspected shooter, who was later identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was killed by the United States Secret Service.
