DALLAS — One of the biggest events at the Dallas Arboretum is finally blooming.
Dallas Blooms kicks off Feb. 24 and runs until April 8. It was named by Southern Living as one of “The Best Places to See Stunning Spring Blooms Across the South.”
Dallas Blooms features 500,000 spring blooming bulbs, with a 120 varieties, as well as a display of 350,000 tulips and a mix of hyacinths and daffodils. This year’s theme, “A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words,” where guests enjoy living selfie walls, adds a fun photo opportunity to the Dallas Blooms experience.
Several events will take place at the arboretum fit for the whole family:
Altered Space: The Arboretum and Parts Unknown
Feb. 28—April 8 at the DeGolyer House, Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
Explore a special photography exhibit showcasing the works of Irby Pace.
Pi Day with Author Lauren Ko
Seattle’s Lauren Ko is doing a kitchen takeover in A Tasteful Place in honor of Pi Day on March 15 and 16. Visitors can choose either a demo with tasting or make a whole pie under Lauren’s guidance to take and bake.
Mommy and Me Mondays & Tiny Tot Tuesdays
Every Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 26 — April 8 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Country Critters Petting Zoo returns offering kids the chance to interact with goats, sheep, bunnies and a pony. It also includes story time and crowd favorite Kindermusik to activate children’s minds through song.
