AUSTIN, Texas — Artist Sarah Thompson's Austin home is filled with art and antiques.

"We just love old stuff. We love retro and vintage. We're always collecting antiques. And we're makers," said Thompson.

She and her husband own a business with which they create vintage-looking neon art. When she's not working, Thompson heads to a tiny trailer in back of her house. It's where she goes to make crafts and paint. She's decorated the walls with paintings of her favorite country music singer.

"So this is actually a Loretta Lynn-themed trailer. So, most of the art and pictures on the walls are in homage to her. Loretta Lynn is absolutely my favorite," said Thompson.

That country music theme continues with Thompson's newest painting about another old favorite, singer Waylon Jennings.

"I've done Johnny and Hank Williams and I thought, 'Let's do ol' Waylon.' I actually moved here from Canada. One of the biggest reasons was the live music scene in Austin. I just love everything about it," said Thompson.

She's been painting as long as she can remember. Thompson even sold one of her creations to another famous face.

"Claire Danes was filming a movie here in Austin, or just outside Austin, and she came in and bought a piece. It was actually Dolly Parton and I think it was for her producer or director as a gift," said Thompson.

But you can't put a price on what you love. Thompson says she's right at home in her tiny trailer creating artwork honoring her favorite country music stars.
