NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — The collaboration that we have all been waiting for is finally here. Very soon, you’ll be able to visit H-E-B for not only your groceries but also your furniture. The new H-E-B that is opening in New Braunfels will be the first of the supermarket chain to host a home section in the store.
The new 122,000-square-foot store will replace an existing location and feature a two-story True Texas BBQ, a restaurant that was named the best Texas BBQ by Texas Monthly.
“With an enhanced in-store experience and commitment to top-quality service and selection, this new store is tailored to serve the needs of this growing community and provide our customers with the best we have to offer,” said H-E-B Public Affairs Manager Julie Bedingfield.
Home by H-E-B will feature two brands: Haven + Key and Texas Proud. Customers can browse the new department for decor, furniture, home textiles, pillows, blankets and candles. This new section of the supermarket will also celebrate items made by Texas-based businesses and artisans.
This new and larger H-E-B will offer more curbside spots, a full service pharmacy, a bakery department along with other staples to the grocery chain. Home delivery will also be an option. The store will hire more than 500 partners and create 150 new positions. The store it is replacing was built in 1994.
H-E-B plans to add home departments to other locations throughout the year.
