BORGER, Texas — Four members of a Texas family are charged in connection to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol in Washington. A fifth member of the family was arrested in Melrose, Wisconsin.

A criminal complaint identifies the suspects as 54-year-old Thomas Munn, Dawn Munn, 55; Kristi Munn, 29; Kayli Munn, 18; and Joshua Munn, 24. Joshua Munn was taken into custody in Wisconsin. The other family members were arrested in Borger, Texas, which is located northwest of Amarillo.

Records show the family members face charges of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol building.

Like most of the suspects arrested in the riot, investigators say Munn family members documented their activities on social media.

The FBI viewed video that appears to show some or all of the participating Munn family members inside the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

A Facebook exchange involving Kristi Munn reads, “We were in the capital !! Just keep that bit of info on the DL for right now.”

In another Facebook exchange, investigators say, Kristi Munn wrote, “There was no security. No national guard !! I can promise you no one destroyed anything walk through the capital.”

Seven people died during and after the rioting by supporters of former President Donald Trump. Dozens of police officers suffered injuries, including chemical burns, brain injuries and broken bones.
