AUSTIN, Texas — No. 1 Texas womens volleyball took down No. 16 Marquette Thursday at Gregory Gym.
The Longhorns are advancing to the NCAA Regional Final, where they will host No. 10 Ohio State on Saturday at 5 p.m. This will be Texas’ 16th appearance in the Elite Eight in the last 17 seasons.
The Longhorns started out strong, with a 7-0 run and finishing the first set 25-14. They took the second victory as well, 25-13, leading 2-0 in the match.
Marquette bounced back with a win in the third, leading nearly the entire match and winning it 25-19.
Texas closed out the match in the fourth set, 25-17 and advancing to the Elite Eight.
