AUSTIN, Texas — Austin FC proved they are the underdog, not to be overlooked this year. From an increase of 31 points in the 2021 season to 56 points in 2022, this dramatic second year turnaround will be showcased at the 2022 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs at the Q2 Stadium Sunday, Oct. 16. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

Austin FC finished second in the Western Conference after tying the game with Colorado Rapids Sunday night. They will be hosting seventh-seed Real Salt Lake for the round one match of the playoffs.

This will be the first playoff game ever for the young Austin FC team, as well as the first playoff game to ever be hosted in the Capital City. All matches are single-elimination matches. The winner of round one will advance to the Western Conference Semifinal matchup on a to-be-determined day.

Tickets for the match sold out within minutes after going on sale last week. The game will be broadcasted on national television on ABC in English and on ESPN Deportes in Spanish.
