AUSTIN, Texas — Fantastic Fest, the biggest genre film festival in the U.S., has just revealed this year’s lineup of movies.

The films will premiere from Sept. 19 to Sept. 26 at the Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar. 

Here are some of the films to be on the lookout for this year:

  • “House of Spoils” (Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television): The movie depicts a determined chef who opens a restaurant on a secluded property and faces kitchen chaos and overwhelming self-doubt. 
  • “A Different Man” (A24): Edward, a hopeful actor, undergoes a drastic medical procedure to completely change his looks. However, his dream face quickly becomes a nightmare when he loses the role he was born to play and becomes fixated on getting it back.
  • “V/H/S/Beyond" (Shudder): V/H/S/BEYOND, the seventh film in the V/H/S franchise, will showcase six new terrifying tapes, immersing viewers in a sci-fi-infused nightmare.
  • “The Wild Robot" (Universal Pictures): Roz, a highly intelligent robot, ends up stranded on an uninhabited island after a shipwreck. In order to survive, Roz must navigate the harsh environment and gradually form deep bonds with the island’s animals. 
  • ‍"Will & Harper" (Netflix): Will and Harper embark on a road trip to explore their evolving friendship and rediscover Harper’s favorite country. Over 16 days, they drive from New York to LA, visiting significant stops along the way.
  • “Anora” (Neon): When Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, marries the oligarch’s son on a whim, her Cinderella story is at risk when his parents come to New York to nullify the marriage.
  • “Apartment 7A” (Paramount+): A young dancer dreams of fame in New York City, but an injury leads her to a wealthy couple in the Bramford luxury apartment building. After an unforgettable evening that remains partially obscured, unsettling circumstances make her reevaluate the extent to which she’s willing to compromise for her career.
