AUSTIN, Texas —  On Nov. 11, the Bullock Texas State History Museum opens its new exhibit featuring the most feared creature in the ocean. The exhibit showcases life-size models of sharks and dives into the long history of the ocean’s apex predator.

The American Museum of Natural History in New York lent this exhibit to the Bullock Museum, and it’ll remain in Texas until March 24, 2024. The purpose of the display is to raise awareness about conservation and highlight the history of sharks, with the goal of reducing people's fear. Expect to learn more about the species through interactive games and activities like a hammerhead hunting simulator.

The exhibit is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $13 for adults and $9 for children. They’re available now through the Bullock Museum’s website.
