AUSTIN, Texas — Legendary rock group Eagles announced two Texas stops for The Long Goodbye farewell tour accompanied by fellow Hall of Famers Steely Dan. They’ll swoop into the Moody Center on Friday, Feb. 2 and the Toyota Center in Houston on Friday, Feb. 16.
In July, the Eagles sadly lost their former bassist and vocalist Randy Meisner to a battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease. Meisner helped form the Eagles in 1971 and joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with them in 1998. The band will commemorate the 50 years of history with its remaining members Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit and Vince Gill. Deacon Frey, son of Glenn Frey, will take on his father’s frontman role for the final tour.
Presale begins Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. and general sale starts on Friday, Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. More information about tickets will be available through the Eagles website.
