AUSTIN, Texas — Thousands of people are ready to watch their faves dominate the stage at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The first weekend begins on Friday around noon, and the next is Oct. 13-15. Follow along for an ACL Fest weekend guide.
With nine stages and over 100 performances at Zilker Park, festivalgoers should have the schedule list on hand to know when and where an artist or band will perform. And here’s a map to where you’re going.
ACL has free transportation to and from the festival gates with its shuttles. You need to be dropped off at the downtown Republic Square Park to be collected. You could also use the MetroRapid bus services to be taken to the stop at Barton Springs and South Lamar for shuttle pickup. The route runs every 15 minutes.
No parking is allowed at Zilker Park or neighborhoods nearby, but you can use Pavemint to reserve a spot that’s available to you. Whatever Pavemint makes from parking fees, a portion of it will go to Austin High School to benefit Girls/Boys Athletics and Fine Arts programs.
Accessibility parking is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.
To keep your belongings in a secure place, you can rent lockers at the festival for night one and night two. And just in case you need a little juice for your electronics, chargers are also up for grabs to rent through chargeFUZE.
If you need to leave the festival, you’re only given two chances to re-enter as a festival patron.
