AUSTIN, Texas — Police have recovered the body of a missing teen from the Lake Austin boat crash this past weekend. Several agencies assisted in the search and recovery efforts of the teen.
The 14-year-old was identified as Kaden Forke. He was found Monday evening and pronounced dead.
Seven people, in all, were involved in the crash. Four individuals were seriously injured.
Officials say the accident happened after a boat ran aground. According to CE-BAR Fire Asst. Chief Campbell, one boat went over the wake of another and lost control. It then hit the bank of Lake Austin, and at least one person was ejected.
Agencies had to use jet skis in order to reach those that were injured.
Campbell couldn't confirm if the passengers were wearing life jackets.
