AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Public Health announced on Twitter it will be opening cold shelters overnight on Friday, Feb. 10.
Anyone looking for shelter can go to the One Texas Center located at 505 Barton Springs Road from 6-8 p.m. to register.
Cold weather shelters in Austin are activated if the forecast is predicted to be:
- 32 degrees or colder overnight
- 35 degrees, with rain/wet
- 35 degrees, with wind chill of 32 or colder
