AUSTIN, Texas — After a two-year hiatus, you'll be able to get out of your vehicle and walk the iconic Austin Trail of Lights again this holiday season.
The celebration kicks off Thursday, Dec. 8 and runs through Friday, Dec. 23. Grab your family and friends to enjoy the two-million-plus lights with 90 lighted holiday trees, food trucks, entertainment and other activities.
There are select nights that charge admission fees. Pre-purchased entry tickets are strongly encouraged for gate admission nights. There are no drive-up parking sales and pre-paid parking on site is required every night.
Visitors to the Trail of Lights will experience a new layout this year, with interactive spaces and a variety of talent on the Zilker Stage. The trail will also feature the Keep Austin Weird local holiday market and a news s’mores program. Santa will be at the North Pole and guests can wander through Candy Cane Lane, which houses the premium ZIP Lounge Area.
There are three different types of passes: general admission, ZIP and platinum.
ZIP Passes allow you to skip the lines, early entry and access the ZIP lounge area with complimentary cookies and cocoa. The Platinum Pass allows for valet parking of one vehicle, golf cart shuttle to the trailhead, concierge customer service onsite, and one drink and ride ticket.
Children 5 and under will receive free ZIP and Platinum access with a ticketed ZIP or Platinum adult.
