AUSTIN, Texas — There may not be a Hundred Acre Woods in Texas, but you can join Eeyore for the 57th celebration of his birthday this Saturday, April 30, at Pease Park in Austin. The party kicks off at 11 a.m.
It is scheduled each year for the last Saturday in April. In case of heavy rain, the party will be moved a week later, to May 7.
Eeyore’s Birthday Party is a way for attendees to give back to the Austin community. All proceeds of the event help nonprofits throughout Texas. All vendors that are present are nonprofits as well.
There will be food, beers/ciders, non-alcoholic beverages and activities like face painting, a music stage and much more. Party-goers are encouraged to participate in the costume contest where they can win prizes. Prizes will also be available for a sack race and egg toss.
Parking on-site is not available. Attendees are encouraged to park in the free garage or use the provided shuttles for transportation. Scooters and mopeds are not allowed at Pease Park, but bicycles are and be parked on the bike racks.
This is Eeyore’s first birthday celebration since the start of COVID. There will be extra sanitation stations throughout the event. Volunteers and attendees are encouraged to be vaccinated. Otherwise, there will also be free vaccination sites at the park.
