AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin summer music tradition has a new home this year. Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic and Fireworks will take place at the new Q2 Stadium, home of Major League Soccer's Austin FC, it was announced Friday morning. 

In a tweet Friday, the Q2 Stadium announced this year’s festival, which was virtual last year.

The star-studded lineup includes musical acts such as Willie Nelson & Family, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Tyler Childers, Brothers Osborne, Midland, Charley Crockett, Allison Russell, Particle Kid, Steve Earle & the Dukes and Asleep at the Wheel.

Nelson created the annual concert in 1972.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 15 at 10 a.m. and pre-sale begins Tuesday, April 12 on the event’s website. According to the stadium, doors will open at 11 a.m. on July 4 and the show will get underway at noon.
