Event organizers predict the $149-priced tickets to run out quickly, so they limited advanced sales to Austin-area residents for online purchase only.

“Individuals may purchase one wristband for themselves and one for another person whose name must be provided at the time of purchase. Online purchase requires a credit card with a billing zip code in the Greater Austin area. A list of zip codes is available at wristbands.sxsw.com/music,” SXSW says.

Before the ticket transaction is complete, the organization says, “SXSW Wristband holders will be required to provide proof of a completed primary vaccination series against COVID-19 or a recent negative COVID-19 test in order to collect and maintain their credentials. Please see our COVID-19 guidelines for more information.”
