TEXAS — According to an announcement on his website, 80-year-old rock legend Bob Dylan will add six stops in five Texas cities to his 2022 tour, including a show in Austin during South by Southwest in March.
The tour, which currently begins on March 3 in Phoenix, Ariz., winds its way through the American Southwest and Deep South before coming to its conclusion on April 14, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Dylan hasn’t traveled to Texas since 2018 and hasn’t released a new album since 2020’s “Rough and Rowdy Ways.”
The show in Austin, on March 16, coincides with the schedule for this year’s South by Southwest Music Festival, though there is no indication that it is part of that conference’s programming. Also notable is the fact that Dylan will play two nights in San Antonio, on March 13 and 14, at the Majestic Theatre, to date, the only multi-night stop on the tour.
Here are the Texas tour dates for Bob Dylan's "Rough and Rowdy Ways" 2022 spring tour:
- March 8 - Lubbock, Texas - Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts & Sciences
- March 10 - Irving, Texas - Toyota Music Factory
- March 11 - Sugar Land, Texas - Smart Financial Centre
- March 13 & 14 - San Antonio, Texas - Majestic Theatre
- March 16 - Austin, Texas - Bass Concert Hall
