AUSTIN, Texas — The holidays are just around the corner, and as we get closer to Christmas, Austinites are gearing up for the 57th Annual Tree of Lights celebration housed at Zilker Park.
Following in last year's footsteps, the annual event will be a drive-thru celebration this year.
Vehicle passes are between $30-$40 a vehicle depending on the night and event dates are between Nov. 27 - Dec. 31. There will also be private events held during that time.
The Trail of Lights is the longest-running holiday event of its kind in Austin.
This event first captivated the Austin audience in 1965, at that time being known as "Yule Fest." Since then, the celebration has grown into the staple that is The Trail of Lights here in Austin.
This tradition garners praise nationwide and invites guests from all over the world.
