DALLAS – More North Texans will soon find out why the rest of the state loves H-E-B.

The grocery chain announced Friday that two new stores will open in the DFW Metroplex by the fall of 2022.

One store will open in Frisco near Legacy Drive and Main Street, the other in Plano near Preston Road and Spring Creek Parkway.

“This is an exciting day as we share plans to expand our presence in the DFW market with the introduction of H-E-B, our flagship banner, to our growing network of stores,” said Stephen Butt, President of the Central Market Division of H-E-B, in a written statement. “For the past 20 years, Central Market has been committed to earning customers’ trust, and H-E-B Partners will work hard to earn the confidence of the many new shoppers we look forward to serving in the Plano and Frisco communities.”

H-E-B has Central Market stores operating in DFW and has several H-E-B stores in surrounding communities, but these will be the first H-E-B branded stores in the Metroplex.
