TEXAS —  This year is cooking up something special come June 4, as a legendary food and music festival will make its return to North Texas at Addison Circle Park.

The pandemic has caused many events to be placed on the backburner, but this year is looking like a comeback for some.

Taste Addison, a well-known event since 1993, was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, the festival is back in business on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5.

Ticket holders can expect Addison’s favorite eateries, national music artists, and activities the whole family can enjoy.

“Over two dozen Addison restaurants will serve up tasty bites for every palate, and Taste Addison’s musical entertainment offers something for everyone,” said Jasmine Lee, Addison’s Director of Special Events. “We’re so happy to be bringing back this legendary lineup of food, music and fun for 2021.”

Event-goers will have a range of food choices from classic Addison dining destinations as well as notable newcomers. Additionally, each restaurant will serve one or more smaller sized portions called, Taste Bites, that will be at $3 or less.

Music guests will even include artists, such as five-time Grammy nominee Flo Rida as the headliner, Billboard Music Award winners Third Eye Blind, and many other regional tribute bands and local singer-songwriters.

Kids 12 or younger can dabble in some crafts or visit the Adventure Grove, a specially ticketed play area with games, a petting zoo, and other attractions.

While there will be plenty of delicious eateries and family-fun activities, COVID-19 safety will still be prioritized. According to a press release, “To reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread at the festival, attendees will be required to wear face coverings over their nose and mouth except while seated. Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the festival grounds and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned regularly. Social circles will be marked at both stages to identify designated seating areas, and multiple spaces throughout the park will feature distanced tables to allow for safe dining.”

Tickets will be available starting May 3.
