1. Initiative Aims to Educate Tenants on Renters' Rights

To help inform and educate tenants of their rights, the City of Dallas has partnered with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas on its newest program – the Dallas Eviction Assistance Initiative – aimed to help those affected as a result of the pandemic brought on by COVID-19.

2. DSHS Urging COVID Vaccine Providers to Use Up Supply, Begin Phase 1B Inoculations

The Texas Department of State Health Services is now urging all providers that have COVID-19 vaccines to vaccinate all willing Phase 1A, then Phase 1B, individuals immediately. Initially Texas received approximately 1.4 million doses, and more vaccines are on the way. 

3. Federal Spending Bill Establishes Long-Sought National Latino Museum

After a decades-long fight, a national museum in Washington dedicated to Latinos can now move forward. This comes after President Trump signed a massive spending bill which includes the authorization for the new museum.
