ARLINGTON, Texas – The National Weather Service in Dallas-Fort Worth says an EF-2 tornado is to blame for the damage caused in Arlington, Texas, Tuesday night.

Meteorologist Jason Dunn says that the parent circulation of the storm traveled 12 miles, but the actual tornado path is likely shorter than that. They caused significant damage near Pioneer Parkway and South Center Street.
The Arlington Fire Department posted Tuesday evening saying it had received reports of multiple building collapses and spent the night assessing the structures and helping triage patients.
Police in the area assisted, posting updates throughout the night about roof collapses and roadways closed due to debris from the storm.
