HOUSTON – A billboard put up in Houston in support of President Donald Trump’s reelection bid was vandalized last week, and a Democratic political group is taking the credit.

The billboard, which originally just included the caption “Trump” along with a photo of the president, was altered to read “Take Trump to Prison.”

The vandalized billboard was photographed and shared on Twitter, where it went viral.

A short time later, on October 15, the political group Turn Texas Blue claimed responsibility, writing, “Trump put up a billboard in Houston last week. We fixed it.”

The group also claimed responsibility for changing a message on a Houston overpass from “BE SOMEONE” to “VOTE OR DIE.”

Reaction to the claim concerning the Trump billboard alteration was mostly from supporters, and positive, but there were some detractors.

One such critic simply wrote “Juvenile.”
