AUSTIN, Texas — A local business is giving out free car washes to help the community as well as its employees.

Arbor Car Wash and Lube Center has five locations in Central Texas. While taking all the necessary safety precautions, they're offering complimentary exterior washes.

The services are free, but they are asking for donations, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Arbor's Employee Relief Fund as the company scales back its services.

"We are going to get through all this.  It's going to be a thing of the past sometime in the future. We just don't know how long. In the meantime, we all just have to try and hang tough and help each other and it might just be what we're looking for to bring everyone together," said Arbor’s manager Kevin Mackey.

Mackey says he has been blown away by the donations.

While, of course, the car washes are completely free, some generous customers have donated up to $300.
