As people continue to self-quarantine, reliance on delivery service has increased substantially. In response, online retail giant Amazon has created roughly 100,000 new part- and full-time jobs across the country in order to keep up with demand.
Many of those positions were created with people who have been laid off from jobs in retail, travel, and other affected industries in mind. All jobs start at $15/hour, and Amazon is tacking on an additional $2/hour through April.
Open positions exist in fulfillment centers, transportation operations, delivery service and more.
