AUSTIN, Texas – A new mural dedicated to late Austin artist Daniel Johnston will be on display at the Austin Central Library starting Wednesday.

Wednesday would have been Johnston’s 59th birthday— the “Hi, How Are You” muralist died in September.

The new mural, titled “Jeremiah the Innocent & Friends in Zilker Park,” was made by artist Jason Archer and was designed to mimic some of Johnston’s previous works. It will be on permanent display on the fourth floor of the library.

Additionally, a temporary exhibit of Johnston’s sketches is on display on the sixth floor of the library through the end of March.
