AUSTIN, Texas — Thanksgiving is often spent at home with the family, but others would rather leave the cooking to the professionals.
If you want a holiday meal without the holiday cleanup, here are some spots around town open on Thanksgiving Day.
Alamo Drafthouse – Various locations
For $20, movie-goers can add on a turkey dinner that includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, and pecan pie. To reserve the dinner, purchase a film ticket for Thanksgiving Day. After you select your seats, you’ll be able to add the Turkey Dinner option to your order.
The Carrillon – 1900 University Ave 512-404-3655
From 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Carillon will be open for Thanksgiving Day brunch. Reservations are required. Plates are $68 for adults and $30 for children.
Cannon and Belle – 500 E 4th St, 512-493-4900
A buffet-style dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It costs $55 for adults and $29 for children.
Ciclo – 98 San Jacinto Blvd, 512-685-8300
You can celebrate Thanksgiving with an expansive buffet from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. People can also dine in the Four Seasons Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $95 for adults and $45 for children.
Cracker Barrel – Various locations
The Cracker Barrel is offering a home-style “Turkey N’ Dressing” meal starting a 11 a.m.
CRÚ Food & Wine Bar – Various Locations
Offering three-course Thanksgiving meal available from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $46 for adults and $23 for kids.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar – Various locations
Starting at 11 a.m. Fleming's is offering a three-course meal for $45 for adults and $22 for children. It includes a choice of herb-roasted turkey or petite filet mignon.
Goodall’s Kitchen – 1900 Rio Grande St, 512-495-1800
Goodall’s Thanksgiving feast will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features slow roasted turkey, sourdough stuffing and house-made pies. The buffet costs $72 for adults and $25 for kids.
Hoover’s Cooking – 2002 Manor Road, 512-479-5006
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hoover’s will be serving a made-from-scratch, Texas-sized feast. Meals include one entrée, two sides, and cornbread dressing for $22. Kids turkey plates are $9.95.
Revue – 101 Red River St, 512-600-2000
Located in the Fairmont Hotel, Revue is offering a Thanksgiving feast for $65 per person and $19 for children. Some of the offerings are roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, and pie.
Threadgill’s – 6416 North Lamar
Threadgill’s will be open for dine-in service on Thanksgiving Day from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Trace – 200 Lavaca Street, 512-542-3660
Located at the W Hotel, Trace will offer a prix fixe three-course meal from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for $65 per person. The meal includes apple cider glazed turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and toffee pudding.
Second Bar and Kitchen – 3121 Palm Way, Suite 101
The Domain Northside location will be serving a special Thanksgiving Day buffet, which includes a carving station. $55 for adults and $27 for children.
Stella San Jac – 5th St. & San Jacinto 512-792-5648
A special Thanksgiving meal will be available at $55 per adult and $28 per child. The meal includes fried turkey, stuffing, and tarts.
