AUSTIN, Texas — As rain moved through the Austin area overnight, thousands of residents temporarily lost power throughout the city.

At one point, Austin Energy said 5,200 people were without power. As of Wednesday morning, power was restored to much of the city.

There are still some neghborhoods without power as of 6:30 a.m. but Austin Energy says crews are assigned and are working to restore power for all residents.
