WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas – Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is already gearing up for the 2019 Hunting Season. If want to get in on the hunt, it's time to enter your name in the lottery.

Permits will be selected through the Texas Parks and Wildlife lottery permitting system.

The 2019 Big Game Hunt days are in November and December, and permitted hunters will have access to nearly 12,000 acres in Burnet, Williamson and Travis counties.

A dove hunt will be held in Williamson County on the first four days of dove season, and up to 70 permits will be issued each day on a first-come, first-served basis.
