AUSTIN, Texas — Hundreds gathered at ACL Live at the Moody Theater Thursday night for the Recording Academy Texas chapter’s 25th Anniversary Gala.

  • Grammy-winning artists performed
  • Gala benefited MusiCares
  • MusiCares helps musicians in need

Grammy award-winning performers like Yolanda Adams, Hanson, Paul Wall, and Flaco Jimenez walked the red carpet in high fashion flare, then hit the stage belting out some of our favorite tunes.

The gala benefits MusiCares, an organization that steps in to help musicians in times of need.

“MusiCares does so much good. They don’t really get a lot of public credit for it sometimes. So this is great for us as an academy member of the Recording Academy,” said Grammy-nominated rapper Paul Wall. “A lot of times, we only see the award show, but the award show is just like the face of the academy, but there’s so much more that the Recording Academy does, MusiCares being one of them.

The Texas chapter is one of 12 around the country.

Recording Academy members and artists are already gearing up for the 2020 Grammy Awards which takes place on January 26th.
