AUSTIN, Texas — The ninth annual RTX Austin took over Downtown Austin over the weekend.

  • 9th year
  • About 60,000 people expected
  • People can meet stars of Rooster Teeth’s content

RTX Austin is a celebration of all things Rooster Teeth. Rooster Teeth is an Austin-based production company that focuses on gaming, animation, comedy, and more.

The bulk of RTX Austin takes place at the Austin Convention Center. Nearly 60,000 people were expected to attend this year.

RTX Austin is an opportunity for fans to meet people who star in Rooster Teeth’s content. There were also vendors offering everything from fashion to art.

“This is really the best time to jump in and learn all about what RTX is and has to offer because there are so many things that I think are accessible for anybody on the show floor. And then you maybe learn about Rooster Teeth in the process,” said Rooster Teeth CEO Matt Hullum.

“We’ve always felt that to really have a deep engagement with our community and our audience, that you need to do more than just provide content,” Hullum said.

Some of this year’s special guests include actor Blake Anderson, YouTuber Phil DeFranco, and comedian Olan Rogers.

“For us it’s really about bringing the community together, bringing a new audience in to experience these things and hopefully make some friends along the way,” Hullum said.
