AUSTIN, Texas — UPDATE: (June 30, 2019 11:16 a.m.) Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody says the lizard has been caught and is being returned to its owner.

(Original story) The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a monitor lizard.

According to the sheriff’s office, they believe the lizard is in the Lakewood subdivision. 

They are warning residents the animal can be dangerous for small children and small animals. Anyone who sees it should use caution and 911.
