NIXON, Texas – An earthquake hit in Nixon, Texas, early Tuesday morning.

At 5:52 a.m. the United States Geological Survey reported a 3.1 magnitude earthquake in Texas. The depth of the earthquake was at 5 kilometers.

The earthquake was reported in Nixon near Smiley, an estimated 68 miles south of Austin and 45 miles southeast from San Antonio.

So far, there have been no impacts felt by Nixon residents.
