AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department ended a SWAT situation in South Austin.

According to APD, The incident occurred in the 7500 block of St. Amant Place, which is located in the area of Brodie Lane and West William Cannon. At 3:22 p.m. a call came in about a family disturbance.

When officers arrived, one man refused to come outside and speak with officers. Police believed he could've had weapons in the residence and notified the SWAT team.

The SWAT team tried to make contact with the man but they did not get a response.  SWAT made entry and found the man deceased.

Police don't believe there is any threat to the public and this is an isolated incident.
