AUSTIN, Texas – Foundation Communities, a local nonprofit, is offering free tax preparation services for low-income families and individuals.

  • Program staffed by IRS-certified volunteers
  • Free to those making less than $50,000 a year
  • Higher incomes allowed for households of 5 or more

The program, known as Community Tax Centers, is staffed by IRS-certified volunteers.

Households making up to $50,000 are eligible for free tax preparation. Slightly higher incomes are allowed for households with five or more people. There will be five tax centers with evening and weekend hours open across Austin as well as in Round Rock.
