TEXAS – Talk about perfect timing, less than four hours after the vernal equinox marked the arrival of spring on Wednesday afternoon, a bright and beautiful full moon started to shine.
The Full Worm Moon of March gets its name because it's the time of year when earthworms start to move about in the garden again, and we know birds will follow.
According to earthsky.org, the last time a Spring equinox and full moon happened on the same date was in March 2000, and the next time it will happen is March 2030.
