AUSTIN, Texas – This coming Saturday Austinites and their four-legged friends will gather in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest group photograph with dogs.

  • Hosted by Service Dogs, Inc. 

The event is part of the 20th Annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk hosted by Service Dogs, Inc. and will take place at the Austin American-Statesman property located at 305 S. Congress Ave. Shortly before the start of the walk at 10:00 a.m., a high-flying drone manned with a camera will snap a shot of all the participants with their dogs. Walkers also receive a custom event shirt designed by local artist Mauro Garza and a gold medal for their dog.

The Mighty Texas Dog Walk is a 1 mile walk near Ladybird Lake followed by giveaways in premier dog food, treats and other goodies from sponsors. There will also be training and veterinary advice from local experts.

Participants can also win raffle prizes including two 3-day ACL passes and two round trip tickets on SW Airlines.
