PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A man was arrested after a shooting at an IHOP in Pflugerville Tuesday.

According to police, they received a call about the incident at 6:46 p.m. Investigators said 19-year-old Matthew Sheedy walked into the restaurant and met with an 18-year-old IHOP employee in the restroom with the intent to rob him of narcotics.

Police said when the victim could not produce any narcotics, Sheedy displayed a pistol and demanded the victim's money.  A fight ensued and multiple shots were fired. The victim wrestled away the gun from Sheedy and he fled the scene.

Officers arrived as Sheedy was fleeing the restaurant.

Pflugerville police arrested Sheedy, and charged him with aggravated robbery and possession of marijuana.

 

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries was later released.
