LAKEWAY, Texas – A diver was pronounced deceased after being pulled from Lake Travis Thursday. 

Austin/Travis County EMS tweeted at 1:13 p.m. that a diver on 700 Hurst Creek Rd. did not resurface in Lake Travis. Crews were able to reach the diver and administered CPR while STARFlight was called out.

After more than 30 minutes of administering CPR, the victim, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The victim was identified as Sebastian Medina-Page 38, of Round Rock. Medina-Page was a project manager working underwater to repair a broken pump for a private residence.

According to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary evidence indicates a significant tangle in the line Medina-Page was tethered to. However, the investigation is on-going.
